Y Residency - Basic Details

* Mission Statement Y Residency (temporary)

The Y Artists-in-Residency project Beta version will run on as a modest model that includes few studio spaces, and few apartments. All together few artists will be involved: 2 local key artists, and few rotating international guest artists who will stay for a period of 4-12 weeks. During this time the initiative will continue to develop its business model of supporting emerging artist around the globe.

* Long term vision:

A three stage project:

Stage I: Y Artists-in-Residence, Beta Version, November 2008– Jan 2010
Stage II: HomeBase V, April 2010 – May 2010, in collaboration with the Y art foundation-LRC Management
Stage III: Launching the Y Art Foundation, full scale, Sep 2010 – 2013

* Apartments and Studio's

* Duration of stay: 2 weeks - 10 weeks

* Terms for Y key Artist:

-The Y Artist will receive the studio starting Dec 2008, and will have full access to the space for the duration of 1.5 months, and a fully equipped apt.

-The Y Artist will be in charge of returning the space in the same condition it was found, and will be responsible to coordinate any changes in space with the supervisor of the project.

-The Y Artist will submit the contribution of two pieces art at the following dates – TBD

Upon the arrival Y artists will receive a packet with info about the Berlin cultural scene and some basic tourist info. pdf packet / Daria Zimmerman
